Women's Lives Matter Weekend April 24th & 25th

On April 24 & 25 cities across the US and individuals marched or held vigils in solidarity for women who have been killed or brutalized by law enforcement.

On February 22nd, exactly 3 months since the playground shooting of Tamir Rice, over 20 cities nationwide held vigils for Tamir and the stolen children killed by law enforcement.

Nationwide 4 Mile March on MLK Day. #4milemarch

On Janury 19th, 2015 CAPV put out a Call to Action on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day called the 4 Mile March. The nationwide 4 Mile March peaceful protests around the country in 29 cities and in Canada gained national attention in demanding police reform and speaking for those who no longer have a voice.

The number 4 represented the 4 minutes that Tamir Rice lay without medical attention after being fatally shot and the more than 4 1/2 hours Michael Brown lay on the street after being killed by Darren Wilson.
